She was predeceased by: her husband Al Walters; her sister Hildegarde; and her son-in-law Thomas. She is survived by: her children, John of Florida, Dan (Ann Marie) of New Jersey and Katherine of Florida; her sister Liz of New York; and her grandchildren, Nicole, Kimberly, Helen, Allison and Alan.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Joan's memory to the American Heart Association, The Humane society of the Nature Coast, or a charity of the donor's choice.
