He was predeceased by: his son Mark; and his parents, Frank Zimmer and Jean Zimmer of South Meriden. He is survived by: his son Dustin Mullen; his grandchildren, Kadence Olivia, Ethan Mark and Tyler Dean Shields; his daughter-in-law Jaclyn Shields (Ian); his sister Linda Nagel (Brian); and his nieces, Nikki Luft (Nick) and Danielle McCarthy (Brett). He is also survived by 4 great nieces.
