It is with sadness that the passing of Brenda Buzash Cook (St. Johns, Florida) is shared. Brenda, born on December 27, 1944, passed away on August 1, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Georgia W. Buzash and Albert S. Buzash of Lieutenant Colonel, U. S; and her grandchildren, Sean Sorenson and Sarah Beth Jones. She is survived by: her husband E. Gary Cook; her children, E. Robert Jones, Jr. of Commander, U. S, Navy (Retired), David M. Jones of Jacksonville, FL and J. Sorenson of St. Johns, FL; her siblings, Albert S. Buzash, Jr. of Weathersfield, CT and Susan Varner of Jacksonville, FL.; and her grandchildren, E. Robert Jones III of Second Lieutenant, U. S, Marine Corps, Julia Jones, Jonathan Sorenson and Brenna Skye Jones. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to National Alliance on Mental Illness, a cause about which Brenda was deeply passionate and for which she served as chair of a local mental health organization.
