It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Douglas Brown in St. Johns, Florida, who passed away on February 7, 2026, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Richard may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Richard touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Brown and Elizabeth Brown (Scialabba). He is survived by: his daughters, Alexa Brown (Andrew Loin) of Westfield and Jenna Fletcher (Jacob) of Haysi, Virginia; his siblings, Robert Brown (Joan) of Bensalem, Pennsylvania and Margaret Brown Horowitz of St. Johns, Florida; and his grandson Jace Fletcher of Haysi, Virginia.
