He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Haskell Grider and Nancy Ann Elizabeth Grider (Eldridge); his significant other Catherine Hasell Bruce (Kitty); his wife Anna Zee; his siblings, Marjorie Jesse Douville, Rufus Merle Grider (Buddy) and Kenneth Carl Grider (Jackie); and his stepson Douglas Bruce.
He is survived by: his pet Lily; his nieces, Nancy Grider of Starke, Gainesville, Catherine Grider (Cathy) of Monticello and Lily; his great-nephew Jim Bruce (Barbara) of St. Simons Island; Paula Tetstone (Chuck) of Worthington Springs. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
