“I had a moment of pause today, thinking about all the wonderful memories Bernie shared with me, like "5-5-5", a breathing/walking exercise that was taught to him by a teacher. Bernie would say "Walk. and as you walk, breath in for 5 steps, them hold your breath for 5 steps, then breath out for 5 steps." I believe that this was one key to his longevity. Bernie was a kind man. He was a proud patriotic american. He was also a dedicated husband and father. He was my neighbor and friend.I miss him.”
