He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Humenik and Mary Catherine Humenik (Klems); and his former wife Donna Humenik (Carlson). He is survived by: his siblings, William, Joseph and Rose Malesic; his wife Janet; his daughter Susan Schmidt (Gary); his stepdaughter Rachel Natarajan (Arjun); his grandchildren, Ryan Schmidt (Britta) and Kersten Magee (John); his stepgrandchildren, Sterling, Eleanor and James Natarajan; his great grandchildren, Cannon and Davis; his mother-in-law Dorothy Fodor; and his sisters-in-law, Jane Butke and Karen Fodor. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, November 10th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (1200 SE 10th St, Stuart, FL 34996).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to the YMCA of the Treasure Coast in honor of David Humenik, a treasured member of the Y community.
