Jessica Jean Kigar Obituary

It is with extreme sadness that we announce that Jessica passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 31, 2022.

Jessica attended grade school at Good Shepherd School in Jupiter and she was happy to be accepted to Bak Middle School of the Arts in West Palm Beach. She graduated from Jupiter High School. Jessica graduated Cum Laude from Florida Atlantic University with a degree in Education.

Jessica was a dedicated and gifted teacher who, in her own gentle way, managed her students with a clear sense of purpose and order. She loved her time as a student teacher at Hope Rural School in Indiantown. She taught 4th grade at Gardens School of Technology Arts for two years. Jessica taught 4th and 5th graders at Palm Beach Maritime Academy for three years and she was looking forward to meeting her new 5th grade class.

Jessica loved animals and she was especially devoted to her dogs Mabel, Murphy, Tink, Buddy, Skippy and her horse Elmer. Jessica was a scuba diver and loved nature and camping.

Jessica's inner compassion was matched by her sharp intellect and she cared deeply about the world and the people around her. Jessica was passionate about many issues and she courageously voiced her opinions with conviction. Everyone who knew her saw her as a sensitive and caring soul.

Jessica is survived by her devoted parents, Dave and Jeannie Kigar, her brother Kevin Kigar and his wife Lisa, her step brother Gary Pride, his wife Dena, and their six children. She grew up lovingly surrounded by her big extended family who will dearly miss her sweet spirit.

Jessica is preceded in death by her grandparents who adored her.
