He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth Johnson Moment and Joseph Moment Sr. On; his wife Uzell Moment; and his siblings, Frederick Moment and Pauline Moment.
He is survived by: his children, Lonnie Moment (Regina) of Port Salerno, FL, Donnie Moment of Hobe Sound, FL, Janice Hatcher (David) of Jupiter, FL, Kendra Moment Ruiz (Oscar) of Brandon, FL and Elizabeth "Liz" Moment of Hobe Sound, FL.; and his siblings, Calvin Moment (Danette) of Hobe Sound, FL, William Moment of Hobe Sound, FL, Vivian Grant of Hobe Sound, FL, Coretha Miller (Douglas) of Hobe Sound, FL, Beverly Bradley (John) of Wabasso, FL, Doris Belle (Alfred) of Micanopy, FL and June Moment-Birdens (Jack). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the New Allen Temple A. M. E. Church (8620 SE Comus St, Hobe Sound, FL 33455). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
