He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy; and his sons, Bobby, Michael and John. He is survived by: his son Paul of Stuart, Florida; his grandchildren, Kelsey, Christina Strauss and Michael; and his great grandchildren, Caitlyn, Savanna and Daniel.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The American Cancer Society, St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the VFW.
