She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Miles and Carrie Maddox; her husband John Willie Gilbert; her children, Yvonne Gilbert, Evelyn Gilbert-Terrell, De-Ette Carter, Johnny Gilbert and Alma Spearman; and her siblings, Robert Lee Maddox, Jimmy Maddox, D. Maddox, Eddie Lee Maddox, Annie-Mae Maddox, Carrie West and Francis Mae Thornton.
She is survived by: her children, Jimmy Gilbert, Sandra Glover-Jones of Port Salerno, FL and Greg Gilbert of Port St. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends.
