With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marylou McCarthy of Summerfield, Florida, born in Boston, Massachusetts, who passed away on April 18, 2022 at the age of 80. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Marylou McCarthy to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Irene Place and Alexander Maher; her husband Jack McCarthy; and her siblings, Richard Maher and Janice Jenkins.

She is survived by: her children, John McCarthy of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Kevin McCarthy (Angie) of Burke, VA and Lauren Tafur (Nino) of Leesburg, FL; her grandchildren, Vanessa, Andrea, Connor Tafur, Erin and Alison McCarthy; and her brother Peter Maher. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In remembrance of Marylou's life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association (http://www.alz.org).
