Obituary- Evan Arthur Reko Evan Arthur Reko, 56, of Sumterville, Florida passed away on July 1, 2021. Evan was born September 29, 1964 in Cannon Falls, Minnesota. He was a devout Christian of Methodist faith. He was a very proud and loving Father, Son, Brother, Uncle and Grandfather who adored his family and friends; his 3 kids were his heart and Soul.
Evan was a 2nd generation welder who mentored many students. Evan enjoyed bowling, golfing, the Beach, water skiing and playing guitar. He was a heavy metal enthusiast who loved playing guitar alongside his kids Blake and Larsen and even had a special tribute for his 56th birthday from Steel Panther (Ryan & Janay). Evan loved Football season and was the Minnesota's Vikings Biggest Fan.
He had a passion for Arts, Crafts and Metal work. He was known for his quick wit and Sarcastic Comedy Humor.He always had a laugh for us. Evan spent a large part of his life (11/82 – 3/12) working for Wayne Automatic in Winter Garden, Florida where he was a Master Welder and Managed their Welding Shop. He also worked for Delta Fire Sprinklers in Sanford, Florida and most recently was working for Reliable in Longwood, Florida and gained many life long, friends along the way. .
He is survived by his children: Aleah (Jason) Hansen of Ft. Benning, GA, Blake Reko of Ocklawaha, FL, Larsen Reko of Clermont, FL; mother: Marcella Reko-Bryan of Sanford, Florida; grandchildren: Shane & Isaac Hansen of Ft.Benning, Georgia; sisters: Cheryl Noll of Ocoee, FL; Valerie (Ralph) Reko of Orlando, FL; Rebecca Cannavo of Ocoee, FL, Karen Reko of Lake Mary, FL; brother: Robert A. (Cathy) Reko of Houston, TX. And many Nieces and Nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Robert R. Reko. A Celebration of Life will be held for Evan on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at 11:00am at St. Luke's Methodist Church 4851 S. Apopka Vineland Rd. Orlando, FL 32819. Arrangements entrusted to Purcell Chapel of Bushnell, Florida.
