She was predeceased by: her parents, William Guy Powell and Alva Hines Powell; and her grandparents, Frank Leslie, Ammie Daniel Hines, Hicks and Mary Drewry Powell of Chalybeate, Mississippi..

She is survived by: her sons, Charles Theodore Boswell Jr. (Sara) of Tampa and William Drewry Boswell (Leslie Tompkins) of Terrell, Texas; her grandchildren, Dr. Gibson Boswell Livesay (Matt), Dr. Riley William Boswell (Morgan) of Tampa, Fender Drewry, Kian, Eleni June, Ainsley Duffy, Oliver Guy and Amelia Boswell of Terrell, Texas; her great grandchild Darby Livesay of Tampa; and her sisters, Linda Powell (Spaulding) of Clinton, Mississippi. and Chris Powell Allen of Clinton, Mississippi.. She is also survived by many cousins, friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (100 E College St, Clinton, MS 39056). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
