With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Bishop Joseph Wayne Henderson of Tallahassee, Florida, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 18, 2025. In the vast expanse of eternity, Bishop shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Bishop farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Henderson and Alberta Henderson; and his sister Patricia King. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Henderson; his daughter Donetta Henderson; his siblings, Michael Henderson and Sandra Campbell (Alton); and his uncle Amos Franklin. He is also survived by several godchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral service was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM and on Monday, September 29th 2025 at 1:00 PM.
