He was predeceased by: his parents, James Robert Charles and Mae Quarles Charles; his siblings, James Kimsy Charles, Francis Plemons, Gladys Wright, Juanita Griffin, Argia Rae Thames and Betty Thames; and his daughter Vickie Charles Dubose.
He is survived by: his wife Yolande St. Pierre Charles; his children, Cindy Lefleur (Mark), Cheryl Lewis (Jeff), Dennis St. Pierre Charles (Elizabeth) and Michael Charles; his grandchildren, Crystal Waddell (JB), Brittany Fleming, Brandon Dupont, Isabella, Serafina, Rachel and Maya; his great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Sadie, Maggie, Haiden, Amy Lee and Luke; and his siblings, Mildred Avin, Bob Charles, Tom Charles and Mary Jane McLeod.
