She was predeceased by: her parents, T. DeWitt VanderVoort and Elizabeth Cross VanderVoort; her sister Dorothy; and her significant other Richard O. Wolkind. She is survived by: her husband David F. Dickson; her sons, Tom (Johanna) of Haymarket, Virginia, David (Alexander) of Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Paul (Brandi) of Tallahassee, Florida.; her granddaughters, Delaney of Tallahassee, Hannah and Rachel of Haymarket, Virginia.; her brother Tom (Marcia) of Centerville; and her friend Hannah Swisher. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Alzheimer's Association (alz.org), Big Bend Hospice (bigbendhospice.org), or another charity of your choice.
