She was predeceased by: her husband Martin Fuller Mitchell; and her son Mark Mitchell. She is survived by: her daughters, Laralyn Russell of Tallahassee and Kimberlee Mitchell of Atlanta; her son-in-law Patrick Russell; her siblings, Skip Clark, Linda Carver, Doreen Benedict, Cheryl Clark and Susie Parsons; and her grandchildren, Patrick Russell, Sara Russell, Kai Klyn and Gunnar Mitchell. She is also survived by grandmother to her four grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
