He was predeceased by: his father Herschel Owen; and his brother Jonathan Brents Owen. He is survived by: his mother Frances Kuykendall Owen of Athens; his wife Valerie; his children, David Chase Owen of Crawfordville, FL and Lauren Dye (Denny) of Crawfordville, FL; and his grandchildren, Denver Brents and Murphie Grace Dye.
