He was predeceased by: his parents, Edson Hurlbut and Margaret Pritchett Hurlbut; and his brother William Chester Hurlbut. He is survived by: his sister Bonnie Levy (Rick); his nieces, Leah Yarbrough (Heath) and Bethany Faison (Kelvin); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Suzie Warner, Kannon Faison, Kahlai Faison, Kaylan Faison and Kage Faison; and his pets, Louis, Maggie and Scamp.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at 3540 Thomasville Rd, Tallahassee, FL 32309.
In lieu of flowers, David would ask that memorial contributions be made to Tallahassee's Animal Shelter Foundation, Inc. or the Leon County Humane Society.
