He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Barber and Joella Barber; and his sisters, Helen Williams and Ethel Pearl Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Annie Mae Barber; his children, Joseph A. Barber (Georgette) and Terri Simmons (Elder Herman Simmons); his grandsons, Christopher J. Barber (Danielle) and Darius T. Donaldson Sr.; his great grandchildren, Navaeh, Adechike, Nadira, Azunah, Aliyahi, Atias, Naleighna, Nightly, Elijah, Aquintis, Darius and Destiny; his sisters, Willa Barber and Ethel Allen; and his goddaughter Patrece Broadnax. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and special family and friends.
