It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Donald Anson Pumphrey Sr. (Tallahassee, Florida), born in Panama City, Florida, who passed away on May 18, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his brother Charles E. Pumphrey. He is survived by: his wife Pam Pumphrey; his children, Don Pumphrey, Jr. of Tallahassee, Tim Pumphrey (Robin Pumphrey) of St. Augustine and Amy (Pumphrey); his daughter-in-law Joy Pumphrey (Ries); his grandchildren, Paige Pumphrey, Hope Pumphrey, Rose Holland (Pumphrey), Ava Pumphrey, Lennon Holland (Pumphrey) and Fiona Pumphrey; his sister Jeanette Brightwell; and his sisters-in-law, Dianne Watson (Mark Watson) and Sandy Pumphrey (Turner). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the East Hill Baptist Church (912 Miccosukee Rd, Tallahassee, FL 32308). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
