In the sacred silence of farewell, Donald is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Donald's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William Patchen and Gertrude Patchen; and his siblings, Sandra Reynolds and Billy Patchen. He is survived by: his wife Diane Bean Patchen of Tallahassee; his children, Dr. Kim, Bubba Carver (Jenna) of Smyrna and Raegan Simpson (Paige) of Tallahassee; and his niece Angela Reynolds of Loganville.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Tallahassee State College for Criminology majors and future Law Enforcement Officers.
