He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Glenn Franklin Carter and Verlie Cobb Carter; his wife Kathy Aker Carter; his children, George Carter (Tara), Rick Carter (Marci), Terri Carter and Bonnie Carter; his grandchildren, Cade Carter, Shane Carter, Beau Carter and Bennett Carter; and his siblings, Herbert John Carter and Amanda Carter. He was also cherished by six great-grandchildren.
