We announce the death of Gary Bruce Rankin of Tallahassee, Florida, who passed away on June 26, 2026. Gary’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his son Timothy Bruce Rankin. He is survived by: his wife Karen Steill Rankin; his daughter Dr. Karinda Barrett (Michael Barrett); his daughter-in-law Jessie Rankin; and his grandchildren, Jensen Barrett, Marshall Barrett, William "Shives" Rankin, Avery Rankin, Maggie Rankin, Finnley Barrett and William "Grey" Rankin.
Our family extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Alzheimer's Project for bringing Bruce comfort, purpose, and joy, and to Big Bend Hospice in Tallahassee for the compassionate care they provided during his final days.
