He is survived by: his wife Nina Howell; his son Brian Howell (Kimberly); his siblings, Annie Mae McMichael, Lillian Howell Goodson, Mary Evelyn Sampson and Jeff Howell; his grandchild Madison Howell; and his stepgrandchildren, Caylyn and Austin Smith. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
