We bid farewell to Gerald Wayne Thompson (Tallahassee, Florida), born in Malone, Florida, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 12, 2025 at the age of 85. Gerald Wayne touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleaster Ferguson and J. Emory Thompson; and his brother Johnnie Howard Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl of Quincy, FL; his children, Tammy Cone (Cecil) of Freeport, FL and Justin Wayne Thompson of Quincy, FL; his granddaughters, Crystal Braund (Rich) of Atlanta, GA and Candace Carlson (Will); his great grandchildren, Welden, Ingrid Braund, Owen and Shaw Carlson; and his father-in-law Phillip Mendenhall of Gulfport. He is also survived by cousins, and many friends.
