He was predeceased by: his parents, Roosevelt Payne and Bell Lunsford Payne; and his wife Wilma Price Payne. He is survived by: his children, Garry (Donna), Michael Payne (Janice) and Gloria Linton (Tony). He is also survived by three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Garrett Funeral Home (460 N Main St, Clyde, NC 28721). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Garrett Funerals and Cremations.
