She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank B. Tuten and Faye Pickles Tuten; her husband Preston Sheffield; and her brothers, Buford and Lamar Tuten.

She is survived by: her children, Glenn Sheffield (Faith), Don Sheffield (Margie), Yvonne Read (David) and Cyndi Webb (Ricky); and her sister-in-law Virginia Merritt. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
