With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Iris Elaine Garcia of Tallahassee, Florida, who passed away on November 28, 2023 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Frederick Smith, Sr. and Frances Hellen Sellers Smith; her husband Marco A Garcia, Jr.; her daughter Ellie; and her siblings, Spencer Smith, Joseph'Freddy'Smith Jr., Owen Smith, Frances Chapman and Gwendolyn Sheffield.

She is survived by: her children, Marco Garcia, III of Jacksonville, Andrew Garcia of Middleburg, Matthew Garcia of Quincy, FL, Leanna Garcia Barone of Jacksonville and Melanie Teegen (James) of Tallahassee, FL; her grandchildren, Nisha Rhodes, Ariana Barone Mulcahy (Connor) and Victor Barone; her great grandchild Ivy Ricker; and her sisters, Nancy Crumpton and Esther Wiggins. She is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
