He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil McDaniel and Odessa Mitchell McDaniel; his siblings, Nicky McDaniel and Jan McDaniel; and his son Richard McDaniel.
He is survived by: his wife Deborah "Debby" McDaniel; his sons, David McDaniel (Joleen) of Key Largo, Michael McDaniel of Tallahassee and Kevin McDaniel (Stacey) of Tallahassee; and his grandchildren, Taylor McDaniel and Kailee McDaniel. He is also survived by extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, WFSU Public Media, or any organization of choice.
