He is survived by: his wife Margaret Sue Shafer; and his children, Terri Parrish (Robert), Jay Shafer (Suzie), Brian Shafer (Dina) and Steven Karl Shafer. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
