He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Potter and Hazel Potter; his brothers, Ross, Don and Joe; his sister-in-law Shirley; and his in-laws, Forest and Juanita Rucker.

He is survived by: his wife Phyllis; his daughters, Cindy (Scott) and Jamea (Casey); his grandchildren, David (Sydney), Madison (Lincoln), Samantha and Jordan; his great grandchild Levi; his sisters, Mava Barney (Gary) and Connie Bell; and his brother-in-law Robert Rucker. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Jerry's honor to the Colton Edwards Memorial Scholarship Fund.
