He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Walker and Helen Brooks LaHay; his son James Mitchell Walker; and his siblings, Ernest Walker and Nancy Hendrix (Darryl, Sr.).
He is survived by: his wife Gloria Henderson Walker; his daughters, Cindy Walker and Brandi Curran (Ryan); his daughter-in-law Sheryl Walker; his grandchildren, Andre Schiavenato, Mackenzie and Emily Besczezynski; his great grandchildren, Mackenzie Jr. of Tallahassee and Lucy Besczezynski of Tallahassee; and his nephew Darryl Hendrix, Jr. (Cindi) of Jacksonville, Florida..
