He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Karas and Mary Karas (Chupik); his son Daniel John of Tallahassee, FL; and his brothers, Andrew (Sophia), Michael (Kathryn) and Nicholas.
He is survived by: his wife Joanne (Pastrick); his daughters, Christine Karas (Steven McGrath) of Bryn Mawr, PA and Amy Karas Lane of Pittsburgh, PA; his grandchildren, Nicholas, Audrey Lane, Patrick and Ian McGrath; and his siblings-in-law, Harold Pastrick (Vivienne) of Huntsville, AL and Marion Karas of Bowling Green, Ohio. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
