He was predeceased by: his mother Gladys Griggs. He is survived by: his wife Shelly; his daughters, Adrienne Simms (Kenny), Lydia Griggs and Marisa Griggs; his grandchildren, Avery Simms and Amelia Simms; and his sister Amy Griffin (William).

Jonathan Alan Griggs joined his Savior on Monday, August 24, 2020 in Tallahassee, Florida after a long fight with COVID-19.
