She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank VanAernam and Viola VanAernam; her husband Eugene "Gene" Virgil Coons; her daughter Kerri Lynn Coons; her brothers, Jack VanAernam and Eugene "Gene" VanAernam; and her cousin Mary Kaye Klemish of Adair.
She is survived by: her daughter Kristen Lee Coons of Tallahassee, Florida; her nieces and nephews, Frankie VanAernam (Tammie) of Cross City, Florida, Wayne of Cross City, Florida, Kimbo VanAernam (Katrina) of Cross City, Florida, Tina VanAernam (Wendell) of Cross City, Florida, Mary Beth Martin (Donnie) of Runnells, Iowa and Susan Martin (Dale) of Runnells, Iowa; and her granddaughter Alexis McRae Tripp (Jessica) of Eastman, Georgia. She is also survived by great-nieces and nephews and numerous friends.
