We are sad to announce that on May 3, 2025, at the age of 79, LaVerta Bishop of Tallahassee, Florida passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, LaVerta is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that LaVerta's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence G. Ornduff and Joan E. Ferguson. She is survived by: her husband Larry V. Bishop; her brother-in-law Michael Bishop; her children, Randall Bishop (Missy), Leah Bishop and Angela Bishop Benoit (Jay Benoit); and her grandchildren, Callie Donaldson Harrison, Shaylee Bishop Holland, Abigayle Benoit, Peyton Benoit and Preston Benoit.
