He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Welch and Mary Sallet; his grandparents, Flossie Sallet, Byrd Sallet, Emma McNish and Abraham Jackson; his sisters, Carolyn Jones, Sharon Jackson, Judy Jackson and Jacquelyn Miller; and his niece Rachel Miles-Gent.
He is survived by: his sons, Raheem Jackson of Hudson, Ohio and Qurandus Gaines of Gainesville, FL; his siblings, Walter Anderson (Olivia) of Gainesville, Jimmy Jones of Providence, Wayne Jones (Betty) of Gainesville, FL, Ronnie Jones of Providence, Robert Jackson of Utica, Patricia Kaphers (Jimmy) of Trenton, FL, Linda Bright (Cornelius) of Gainesville, FL, Marsha Merricks (Eduardo) of Gainesville, FL and Sivena Jackson-Elleby (Charlie) of Gainesville, FL; his brother-in-law Charles Miller, Sr. of Gainesville; and his nephews, Ronnie Jones Jr. of Alachua, FL, Dwight Merricks of Atlanta, GA and Deonte Merricks (Megan) of Reidsville, GA. He is also survived by uncles, aunties, nephews, nieces, cousins, and sorrowing friends.
