We announce the death of Lillie B. Liggans (Tallahassee, Florida), who passed away on August 15, 2026, at the age of 87. Lillie will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ocie Edwards, Sr. and Lora Anderson Edwards; and her siblings, Robert Edwards, Sr., Ocie Edwards, Jr., Eddie Edwards, Lorene Edwards Alexander and Loretta Edwards Turner.
She is survived by: her children, Phyllis Brasby of Tallahassee, Florida, Ronica Liggans of Tallahassee, Florida and Patrick Barfield (Carlette) of Crystal River, Florida; her sisters, Mary Franklin (Villa Don) of St. Petersburg and Sandra Edwards of Madison, Florida; her uncle George "Jesse" Anderson (Doreatha) of Madison, Florida; her aunt Paris Jones (Marcus) of Greenville, Florida.; her grandchildren, Lorenzo Brasby, Rhonda Jones (Booker), Anthony Walker, Adrienne Bar, Lillie Walker, Nikki Johnson and Shelia Wright; her goddaughter Aeshah McQueen Jefferson (Dwayne); and her nieces, Lora Monlyn-Stewart and Shianna Edwards. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives.
