He was predeceased by: his wife Celia. He is survived by: his children, Maria Matthews, Patricia Matthews, William Matthews, Dawn Marie Berlanga-Helms and Lowell Matthews, Jr.. He is also survived by his 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
