She was predeceased by: her parents, Reece Curtis and Elzie Curtis; her son Michael King; her siblings, Jack Curtis and Shelby Jean Curtis; and her pet Tarvey.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sonya Avant (Bill) and Cheryl Taylor; and her granddaughters, Crystal Avant and Heather Taylor. She is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends.
