She was predeceased by: her parents, Solon Bailey Underwood and Roma Hazel Barrett Underwood; her husband Ted H. Rushing Jr.; and her brothers, Beau and Jack Underwood.
She is survived by: her children, Debra Rushing, James Rushing (Beth) and Jennie Reeves (Michael); and her sisters, Melanie Bennett (Richard), Suzy Bigbee and Margaret Underwood. She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren; her 5 great-grandchildren.
