She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas McDermott and Mary Margaret McDermott; her son Christopher Connell; and her siblings, Honora McDermott and Thomas McDermott.
She is survived by: her children, Laureen Dempsey (William Dempsey), James Connell (Vicky) of Orange Park, Thomas Connell (Laura) of Jacksonville and Paul Connell (Ann) of Tallahassee, Florida; and her brother Charles McDermott of Manhattan. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
