He is survived by: his children, Steven and Tori (Chase); his caregiver Tammy; his brothers, Pete (Brenda) and Jeff (Stacey); his nieces and nephews, Joy, Kate (Ed), Jake (Kelley), Zachary and Griffin; his great-nephew Noah; his great-nieces, Caroline and Molly; and his aunt Ruth.

“All~ I was sorry to hear of Mike's passing. Zack, Griffin, and I join you in keeping his memory in our hearts. I will remember his commitment to Gator football, bringing his guitar to any family gathering, and how proud he was to dress Steven as Magnum PI on a Halloween long ago. Merle would spend early mornings, talking over coffee with me, sharing his worries for all his children, especially Mike.
