He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Betancourt and Eleanor Marquez Betancourt; his wife Julia Rodriguez Betancourt; and his sisters, Noelia Betancourt Galloso, Gisela Betancourt Millares, Olga Betancourt Marques and Migdalia Betancourt Millares.
He is survived by: his children, Maribel Betancourt Parzych (Jeff), George Luis Betancourt (Denise) and Raul Martin Betancourt (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Amanda Marie Betancourt, Raul Francis Betancourt and Adam Jeffrey Parzych; his great grandchild Pedro Alexander Betancourt (Peito); and his niece Tania Pulver.
