He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wesley Harmon and Helen Smith Harmon; his son Wesley Richard Harmon; his stepmother Louise Harmon; and his siblings, John Arthur Harmon and Lorena Harmon Todd.

He is survived by: his wife Ouida Harmon; his son Jay Harmon (Becky); his daughter-in-law Tara Hancock Harmon; and his grandchildren, Carliayn Harmon Kell (Jason), Wesley Harmon (Lauren), Joshua Harmon (Aubrey), Abigail Harmon Gregory (Will) and Joseph Harmon.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
