Teresa Gray Papp wrote a sympathy message

“Rick Solomon left us too soon. May his family cherish all the good memories. I knew Rick at FSU when several of us enjoyed living west of the stadium off Pensacola & Chapel at then Spanish Town Apartments. We all had fun at our pool & out on our verandahs, which encouraged friendships. Rick made our pool parties more fun! Good memories!”

“In loving memory of Richard Solomon, He was such a wonderful boss and friend. Oscar Arenas and I had daily chats with him that always brightened my day. He was so funny but could come up with such profound and positive comments. Out of all the supervisors in my life, Richard was my favorite. He is sorely missed. God bless Janice and Jessica, and all of his family.”

“I worked with Richard at FDOT for many years, He was one of the most positive, cheerful people I have ever known. Always a smile. a kind word and a positive attitude. His employees loved him and he was always doing thing to make working for him a pleasure and his employees truly felt like they were part of the team, because they were. I know his family will miss him so, a bright shining light has been lost, but will never be forgotten. Fly high Richard!”

Ronald Huggins wrote a sympathy message

“I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Richard. He was my manager from 2005 to 2012, and during that time, he left a lasting impact on my life and career. Richard was more than just a manager; he was a mentor, a leader, and someone who truly cared about his team. His guidance, support, and wisdom made such a difference, and I always appreciated the way he treated everyone with kindness and respect. I’ll always remember the lessons he taught me and the laughs we shared along the way.”

Bob Katte wrote a sympathy message

“God Bless you all. Richard was always such a kind and strong friend. Loving father & husband, softball, volleyball, poker parties, FSU games... Richard was always everyone's first pick for team captain or great ideas. Our family will always remember the pool parties when the kids were little. We will also remember his stories and practical advice. "I spend all my time hiring the right people and it works." "You get the behavior you reward." Love from Bob, Marcia, Jane & Jill Katte”
