We are sad to announce that on August 27, 2023, at the age of 97, Robert F. Burke of Tallahassee, Florida, born in Detroit, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Burke and Ann Myers Burke; his wife Elizabeth Ann Ryan Burke; his sister Marguerite Alcorn; and his niece Carol Spear.

He is survived by: his children, Shannon Johnson (Bill) and Patrick "Pat" Burke (Cindy); his grandchildren, Robert Anthony Johnson (Viola), William Taylor Johnson, Frank Ryan Burke (Danielle) and Elizabeth Ann Carter (Mason); his great grandchild Asher Robert Johnson; his nieces, Gail Snellgrove (Jim) and Kay Alcorn; his caregiver Jackie Whitman; and also Ashlynn Tobell.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Margaret Z. Dozier Hospice House or to Freedom Church Building Fund.
