He is survived by: his son Robert Michael, Jr.; his grandchildren, Preston Cadle, Aribella Li and Trinity Thielen; and his siblings, Denise Stevens (Quinten), Carol Mamara (Richie), Lynda Pidgeon, Adam Thielen (Milana), John Patrick Thielen (late Janie), Peter Stephen Thielen, Sr. (Robin), Terence O'Neill Thielen, Paul Eugene Thielen (Cathy) and James Francis Thielen, Sr. (Beth).
A graveside service was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Tallahassee National Cemetery (5015 Apalachee Pkwy, Tallahassee, FL 32311).
